“I am someone, not something” is a documentary about the life of stray animals and this documentary aims to help contribute to raise awareness about stray animals in our society today. Stray animals are often neglected and taken as an unacknowledged life in the society. “I am someone, not something” films the life which stray animals go through on a daily basis.

 

These strays are considered lucky enough to be in a animal welfare shelter such as Paws, SPCA and etcetera. It does not always end well for these animals because not many people wants to adopt animals from the shelter and prefers to buy them from pet stores. As the animals in the pet shelter grows older and eventually fall sick, they are put to sleep due to the lack of funds raise and the daily increase of animals in the shelter.
